Being married to one of Portugal's greatest winemakers (Luis Soares Duarte) is not easy, especially when one is a prodigious talent in her own right. But Joana Roque du Vale, who makes top-flight wine with her father at their family estate Monte da Capela, manages quite nicely, thank you. The loving partnership with her husband had made both of them exceptional at their cradt, even if they make wines in different styles, in different zones. From Alentejo in the South, Monte da Capela is an estate with one foot is classicity, the other in modernity.
