Yes, the production quantity is accurate: less than 100 cases per year. That said, from the estate that makes “Rita” Sangiovese, one of the most successful we’ve ever imported, comes this impossibly decadent Syrah, from one of our favorite zones in all of Italy, the Maremma, in Tuscany. An incredibly labor-intensive production, including thrice-checked grape selection and open-barrel fermentation, make this Syrah one of the greatest of its kind we’ve seen from Italy. Wow!
