Palama Arcangelo

THE BEGINNINGS
Cutrofiano, in the 1936. A very young man, Michele Arcangelo Palamà, better known as Arcangelo, leaves his childhood games; overcome with an irresistible deep calling, he started a walk which would have been lasting for all his life and would have been giving him a deep and detailed knowledge of the wine, of every side of it, led by the biggest love and passion for the magic fruit of the vine.

By such level of participation, Arcangelo links up his name with  that one of his precious nectar, which has by then become a synonym of quality and genuineness. In the local area everybody waits, every year, for those old barrels, drawn by the horses, to take in provisions of that precious beverage into the inns.
The world is changing and the industrialization hangs over it. They must look ahead to renew their own organization. At this phase Arcangelo’s son, Cosimo, called Ninì, comes on stage in the 1988; he inherits from his father, with the same strength, that passion and ability of the wine-making. The purpose is always the same: producing wines to excite the taste.

FOR FUN
Cutrofiano, in the 1990. Ninì has modernized the processes of wine production, bringing in the mechanization to produce little demijohns on a larger scale. So, the first line of packaged products was born, just for fun, as well as it was playfully called by Ninì each one with a name of the seven dwarves.

THE DEVOTION
The company has now reached all the qualifications to go beyond the province: experience, high quality raw material, passion and determination. It was born the “Metiusco” (in the ancient Greek language, it means “I get drunk”) which, as it was to be expected, achieves in a few time a widespread consent, driving the company beyond its own market.

THE FUTURE
Till now the history. The future? We are waiting for you to tell us about, after having tasted our wine, the real beating heart of every deed of ours.
